African pride Empowerment Empire is a young organization that is focused and committed to bringing about generational positive change to African youngsters. We achieve our objectives by reaching-out to children and teenage secondary school students in our community (Ijegun/Ikotun Lagos). Education is the best legacy a child can ever have and if you will agree with me, every child both in Nigeria, Africa and the world at large has the right to good and quality EDUCATION. When you give a child education, the future of that child is secured. Now imagine what the future of the children that are out of school will be like. May GOD help us, Amen! October 27th and 28th, 2014 is a date that will not be forgotten in a hurry in the lives of secondary school students in our community (Ijegun/Ikotun Lagos). It was the secondary edition of our annual HIGH SCHOOLS’ ACADEMIC AWARDS which is designed to celebrate, encourage, support and promote EDUCATION in grassroots level and Nigeria at large. This edition saw students from various given awards for their brilliant performance academically. We did this by paying courtesy visit to the schools and it was a indeed a beautiful experience. This is one of the major ways in which we are able to reach-out to teenagers in secondary schools and it’s also one of the major ways we promote Education in grassroots level and Nigeria at large. NOTE: This is our second edition and we look forward to making it an annual event that will continually celebrate and promote EDUCATION in our dear country (NIGERIA). Your support towards this generational vision will go a very long way in improving lives academically. As a result of this program, we have heard about testimonies of students that have improved very well in their studies. It can always get better with your support. HIGH SCHOOL ACADEMIC AWARDS (2014) tagged CELEBRATING AND REWARDING ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE. The motive behind this event/program is to encourage teenage students in secondary schools to be more committed to their studies because sound education makes one astounding in life and it is the best gift a child can ever have.As an Non Profit Organization (NPO), this platform is one of our major ways of promoting EDUCATION in grassroots level as far Nigeria is concerned. The first edition of this event held 12th, July 2013 and it's our dream to make it an annual event that will benefit students that resides in our communities under Igando/Ikotun L.C.D.A of Alimosho local government area which happens to be the largest in the whole of Lagos state. This year's edition, we intend to make it an out-reach whereby we visit the schools we have randomly selected and celebrate with the BEST STUDENT based on his or her performance from last academic session. Some of the gift items we need are SCHOOL-BAGS, MATH AND ENGLISH TEXT-BOOKS, MATH-SETS, ART-SETS, NOTE-BOOKS, and other basic school materials.
